Abraham Colomby, Genève, No. 9525, circa 1765. Very fine gold and diamond-set watch with enamel simulating bloodstone, accompanied by original matching chatelaine.
C. Two-body, Louis XV, the back in green and red enamel simulating bloodstone, diamond-set rose gold floral appliqués, border and bezels in repoussé scrolling pattern, pronounced hinge, diamond- set thumbpiece. Chatelaine: four links, gold spoon, all links in enamel en suite with the case, all with diamond-set appliqués, two gold chains, one for the key, the other for a seal. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions with five-minute Arabic markers, winding aperture at 3 o?clock. Gold ?Louis XV? hands. M. 27 mm, hinged, frosted gilt full-plate with pentagonal baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, brass balance with flat balance spring, single footed cock with steel endpiece. Signed on dial and movement. Diam. 35 mm, length with the chatelaine 175 mm. To be sold without reserve
