?Vermicelli? Quesnel Duv, à Rouen, No. 4800. Made circa 1785. Fine and unusual, gold and enamel, pearl-set, pair-cased pendant watch.
C. Outer: two-body, protective, glazed gilt brass. Inner: twobody, ?Louis XVI?, the back with translucent imperial blue enamel with white vermiculae over engine-turning, pearl-set bezels. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions with five-minute Arabic numerals, winding aperture at 2. Gold ?beetle and poker? hands. M. 28 mm, hinged, frosted gilt full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement brass balance with flat balance spring, continental type balance cock. Movement signed, case punched with French guarantee marks. Diam. 34 mm. To be sold without reserve
