?Musical Repeating Watch with Center Seconds? Swiss. No. 181. Made circa 1820. Fine and rare, 18K gold musical pocket watch with quarterrepeating and center-seconds.

C. Three-body, ?Empire?, reeded bezel, the back cover engineturned with a sunray pattern. Gilt metal cuvette engraved with a bar of music. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minutes and seconds track with arrow quarter-hour markers. Blued steel ?arrow? hands with pierced tips. M. 52 mm., frosted gilt, standing barrel, cylinder escapement, plain three-arm balance, blues steel flat balance spring, polished steel endplate, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by depressing the pendant, sur plateau musical movement with 11 blued steel tuned blades acting upon both surfaces of the disc, activated at will by a button in the band. Diam. 58 mm.
