?The Cherubs? Swiss. Made circa 1890. Very fine and unusual, 18K gold, painted on enamel and rose diamond-set lady?s pendant watch in the form of a miniature clock.

Three-body, in the form of a mantel clock with arched top set with three rose-cut diamonds, foliate suspension with tapered loop, four engraved pillars, oval base, raised on four ball feet, hinged compartment in the back containing a glazed panel for a photograph. Hinged gold cuvette. D. Rectangular, translucent red guilloché enamel painted en grisaille, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, two winged cherubs playing with flowers below. Gold ?Spade? hands. M. 26 x 17 mm, rectangular, frosted gilt, linear bar caliber, cylinder escapement with three-arm gold balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dim. 39 x 23 mm.
