Robert Roskell, Liverpool, No. 9791. Made circa 1810. Very fine and rare, hunting-cased, 18K yellow gold pocket watch.
C. Three body, ?bassine?, solid, polished, entirely engineturned, front cover with medallion dated 1813. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute ring, subsidiary seconds dial. Pink gold ?spade? hands. M. Hinged, gilt brass, full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusée and chain, 13 jewels with 4 in screwed châtons, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, diamond endstone, engraved balance bridge. Dial and back plate signed, case hallmarked, movement also engraved: ?Patent?. Diam. 57 mm.
