Knife edge, extra slim polished gold case, the matted silver dial with Roman numerals and indexes on a satiné chapter ring, gold "Oriental Cartier" bands. Rhodium plated, 17"' European Watch & Clock Co. movement, "fausses côtes" decoration, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, eut bimetallic balance, adjusted to temperatures and 2 positions, blued steel flat balance spring. Measuring approx. 48 mm. in diam. Cartier Certificate of Authenticity N° 2313.

Introduced in 1903, this watch movement was the
thinnest ever made, and at 1.38 mm. remains so to this
day.
