Covered in lapis lazuli mosaic with twisted yellow gold vire designs, the ends decorated with bands of mother-of-pearl inset with geometric motifs of cabochon rubies and emeralds, the lid having a large applied Oriental plaque of engraved yellow gold, buff-topped emerald and rubies centering a ruby-set animal wearing an emerald collar, the push piece also set with rubies and emeralds (one cabochon missing); the interior fitted with mirror, in 18K yellow gold. Measuring approx. 88 x 53.5 mm. Cartier Certificate of Authenticity N° 2409.
