Two-body, ?Louis XV?, foliate chased bezel and border, the back with a very finely painted on enamel scene of ships moored and fishermen at the shoreline, deep blue guilloché enamel border and turquoise and beaded white enamel outer border, paste-set thumb-piece. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer dot minute divisions and Arabic five minute numerals. Gold ?Spade? hands. M. 33 mm., hinged gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, pierced and chased foliate gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-plate, silver regulation dial, hand and scale for adjusting the repeating speed, repeating on the case with two hammers activated by depressing the pendant. Dial and movement signed. Diam. 43 mm.
