?Wandering Hours? Swiss. Made circa 1820. Fine and unusual, 18K gold, wandering-hour pocket watch with quarter repeating.
C. Four-body, ?Empire?, Mastermark ?DP?, the band with a star and lozenge repeated pattern, the back engine-turned in a swirling pattern with a central vacant cartouche. Hinged gilt cuvette. D. Gold dial mask engraved with cupid standing on top of the globe, his arrow tip forming the minute pointer, another figure above in a quadriga holding an arrow to indicate the hours, classical architecture at each side, "wandering" numerals with gold radial Roman hour chapter, silver minutes chapter with Arabic numerals and dot markers. M. 49 mm. (22'''), frosted gilt, full-plate, fusee with chain, verge escapement, brass 3-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, engraved two-footed cock with polished steel endplate, regulation dial in the center. Diam. 55 mm.
