"Spring and Summer Bouquet" Bovet, Fleurier, No. 697. Made for the Chinese market circa 1850. Very fine gold and painted on enamel, pearl-set center seconds pocket watch with duplex escapement.

Three-body, ?Empire?, blue, red and white foliate enameled band, the back finely painted on enamel with a bouquet of spring and summer flowers, pearl-set bezels, pendant, and bow, glazed cuvette hinged to the movement ring. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute/seconds divisions with fifteen-minute/seconds Arabic numerals. Blued steel ?spoon? hands. M. 48 mm (21???), mirror polished steel, "Chinese" caliber with steel wheels and standing barrel, 6 jewels, ruby duplex escapement with ruby rest insert and steel impulse pallet, steel three-arm balance with blued-steel wings, blued steel balance-spring, index regulator. Movement signed. Diam. 57 mm.
