Three-body, "Empire" with fixed cuvette, flat reeded band, split pearlset bezels pendant and bow, the spring-loaded back opened by a push-piece in the pendant and painted on enamel with a fine bouquet of flowers and foliage against a translucent red enamel background over wavy-line engine-turning, the scalloped border decorated in champlevé enamel. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, large subsidiary seconds. Gold "spade? hands. M. 48 mm, hinged, full-plate, gilt, going barrel, ringed cylindrical pillars, cylinder escapement with steel escape wheel, brass four-arm balance, flat balance spring with Joseph Bosley patented regulator, gilded cock pierced and engraved with scrolling foliage. Gilded dust-cap with finely engraved foliate border. Dial and movement signed. Diam. 60 mm.
