"Spring Bouquet" Fleurier, No. 12601. Made for the Chinese market, circa 1850. Very fine and very rare, eight-day going two-barrel gilt metal and painted on enamel, pearl-set center-seconds pocket watch with unusual lateral lever escapement.

C. Three-body, ?Empire?, reeded band, finely painted on enamel with a bouquet of flowers on a pale yellow ground, pearl-set bezels, pearl-set pendant, and bow. Silver gilt and glazed cuvette hinged to the movement ring. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals and outer minute/seconds divisions with fifteen-minute/seconds Arabic numerals. Blued steel ?ovoid? hands. M. 23''', gilt, fully engraved with two standing barrels, 8 jewels, unusual lateral-lever escapement with counterpoise at a 45 degree angle, monometallic paste-set balance, blued steel flat balance-spring, index regulator. Cuvette numbered. Diam. 63 mm.
