?Lyre Clock? Vincent a Paris. Made circa 1805. Fine and elegant, early Empire gilt bronze, white marble, enamel and paste set hour and half-hour striking 8-day going mantel clock.
C. Finely cast and chased gilt bronze, lyre shaped, surmounted by a pair of opposing eagles heads and a sunburst and flower mask, laurel branch side mounts, sunburst surrounding the dial, blue enamel and paste set bezel, with flower swag, bacchus mask and beaded mounts, raised on hairy paw feet. D. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with Arabic 15 minute numerals, blue, white and red painted central rosette. Gilt brass fleur-de-lys hands. M. 102 mm., circular, brass, cylindrical pillars, going barrels for the going and striking trains, anchor escapement, silk suspension, pendulum with brass bob, outside countwheel striking on a bell. Dial signed. Dim. 65 x 22.5 cm.
