C. Two-body, square hinge, polished. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals on raised enamel cartouches, inner quarterhour ring. Blued steel ?fleur-de-lis? hands. M. 45 mm, hinged, fire-gilt full plate, tall divided Egyptian pillars with silver tops, fusee and chain, verge escapement with brass balance and short balance spring, silver cock pierced and engraved with inhabited foliage, Tompion-type regulator with pierced foliate feet and numbered regulation disc.
