?12-Hour Register? Gaultier Père et Oltramare a la Rochelle (France). Made in Geneva, circa 1820. Very fine and rare, 18K yellow gold, double-train early independent dead-seconds pocket watch with 60-minute and 12-hour register and virgule escapement.
C. Four-body, ?Empire?, polished with reeded band. Gilt hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, an eccentric Breguet meantime chapter set to the right with outer minute divisions, to the left, a radial Roman chapter with outer minute divisions for the register, center deadseconds with one second divisions and Arabic 15 second numerals. Blued steel ?spade? hands. M. 52 mm, hinged, gilt brass full plate jeweled to the first, cylindrical pillars, going barrels, virgule escapement, 3-arm brass balance, continental pierced and engraved cock, pin at 5 for start/stop. Dial, cuvette, and movement signed. Diam. 57 mm. To be sold without reserve
