Made in the 1930s to celebrate the world record set by Amelia Earhart on May 8th, 1935, for the first nonstop solo flight from Mexico City to New York. Fine and rare, rectangular and reversible, center-seconds, ?Staybrite? gentleman?s wristwatch with a yellow goldplated Jaeger buckle.

Four-body, solid, polished and brushed, reeded bezel, the case back of the reversible case engraved and decorated with green enamel, depicting a map of North America with dedication ?Mexico - New York May 8th, 1935?. D. Two tone silver with painted black baton indexes and Arabic 12, and painted black baton indexes and Arabic numerals on an inner silver ring dial for the minutes. Blued steel "épée" hands. M. Cal. 8???, tonneaushaped, rhodium plated, ?fausses-côtes? decoration, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, selfcompensating flat balance-spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 23 x 38 mm. Thickness 9 mm.
