"Criquet", No. 1031, Breveté S.G.D.G., circa 1920. Fine and unusual silver keyless alarm watch.

Fine and unusual silver keyless alarm watch. C. Three body, massive, "pomme et gouge", the bezels with floral chased decoration, the back chased in high relief with a locust and outer floral decoration matching that of the bezel. Hinged silver engine-turned cuvette, pierced for the sound, inset on the reverse with a thin blued steel panel increasing the sound transmitted by a pin, in the manner of a gramophone. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and red half hour divisions (small hair lines). Blued steel hands. M. 17"', gilt brass three-quarter plate, double train with differential winding, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance-spring. Alarm simulating the typical sound of the locust, adjusted by means of the revolving bezel. In good condition. Diam. 48 mm.
