De Belle, Rue Saint Honoré à Paris, circa 1800. Very fine gilt bronze, "rouge grillotte" marble and enamel eight day going, hour and hall hour striking skeleton dock.

C. Rectangular "Rouge grillotte" marble base on four gilt bronze feet, the front face with a gilt bronze "bas relief" of playing putti. Four fluted columns supporting a semi-circular arched frame applied with a blue enamel panel sprinkled with gold stars. Signature cartouche flanked by two gilt bronze foliate tailed animal figures, supporting the movement, gilt bronze pain-leaves and falling foliage at the top. D. White enamel chapter ring with Breguet numerals outer Republican calendar ring and blue external decoration matching that of the arch. Gilt brass pierced hands. M. Brass circular with going barrels botte for the going and the striking train, anchor escapement, "sunburst" pendulum, silk suspension. Striking on a bell with count wheel on the back plate. Signed on a cartouche below the dial. In very good condition. Dim. 46 x 26 x 13 cm.
