Not signed, France, circa 1890. Fine gilt brass quarter-repeating "grande et petite sonnerie" carriage clock with porcelain panels

Gilt brass, "Anglaise Riche" with Corinthian columns, glazed on the back, porcelain side panels painted with young lords in a park who gaze wistfully and with adoration towards two young girls seated on a plush sofa in an arbour painted on the front panel beneath the dial. D. Porcelain with Arabic numerals decorated en suite. Blued-steel " spade" hands. M. Eight-day double train with going barrels. Silvered platform with lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, blued-steel Breguet balance spring. Striking and repeating on two gongs, with button on the top, silence and petite sonnerie selection lever on the base. In very good condition. Dim.15.5 x 10 x 9 cm. excluding the handle.
