C. Double body outer and inner, both polished, marked "H.M.". D. White enamel with Roman numerals. Gold "spade" bands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cyllndrical pillars, fusee with chair and maintaining power, three wheel train, the rack-lever escapement with 30 tooth large escape wheel, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator, gilt brass balance cock intricately engraved with decoration and "Patent", diamond endstone. Gilt brass dust-cap. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 55 mm.

The inscription "Patent" on the balance cock, refers to the invention of the rack-lever escapement patented by Litherland in 1791.
