C. Four body, massive, "bassine", polished, the back engraved with a coat of arms with the motto: Sperandum Est. Hinged glazed gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Arabic numerals, outer red Arabic minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "Louis XV" hands. M. 18"', nickel plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 31 jewels, counterpoised straight fine lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Signed Tiffany on the dial, case and movement. Diam. 49 mm.
