Markwick, London, No. 343, circa 1730. Fine and unusual silver, pair cased, quarter repeating watch with concealed enamel coat of arms.

C. Outer, three body pierced and engraved with inhabited foliage, the back opening to reveal the painted enamel Heraldic decoration. Inner bassine, the band pierced and engraved with foliage. D. Silver champlevé with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Elaborate blued steel hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with spirally b o n d pillars, fusee with chain, plain steel threearm balance, flat balance spring, glazed silver cock engraved with a female head, diamond endstone. Repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant. Gilt brass dust cap secured by scroll latch. Signed on the back plate and dust cap. In very good condition. Diam. 62 mm.
