Terroux L'Aîné à Genève, dated 25/8 1769. Fine and unusual 18 ct. gold mounted porphyry, dumb quarter repeating watch.

C. Double body Louis XV, the porphyry bezel and back carved in a sun-burst pattern. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gold Louis XV hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Repeating on a block in the case by depressing the pendant. Signed on the dial and back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 44 mm.
