Double body, bassine with florally enamelled pendant and bow, the split bezel with engraved foliage decoration, the enamel back with a painted scene of Venus and Adonis with Cupid, drawn from an engraving by Simon Vouet, the band with four gold framed vignettes with castles in lake side landscapes, the enamel backing decorated with a knight walking in a rocky landscape. D. Enamel white chapter ring with Roman numerals, the centre decorated with a painted representation of Venus and Cupid. Gold Louis XV hands. M. Later custom made hinged gilt brass full plate with square baluster pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring and gilt brass cock pierced and engraved with a mask and foliage. Enamel case signed in a cartouche, movement signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 39 mm.
