C. Five body, massive, "pommes et filets carrure ronde", polished. Hinged gold cuvette with a concealed enamelled automaton scene in an engraved bedroom, depicting a soldier paying tribute to his captain's wife. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 18"', nickel plated three-quarter plate, "à vagues" decoration, 15 jewels on the going train, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. In very good condition. Diam. 52 mm.
