Neveuex à Paris, circa 1700. Unusual ebonised pear-wood, weight driven eight day going, hour and half hour striking, moon phase astronomical long-case regulator with flyback days of the week.
C. Shaped with gilt bronze mounts, brass borders and inlaid lins. D. Later specially made and dated 1767, white chapter ring with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring (hair lins), inner silvered fly-back days of the week sector, below the moon phase aperture. Pierced and engraved gilt brass Louis XV hands. M. Brass rectangular with turned pillars, the going train with recoil anchor escapement, second beating pendulum with spring suspension. Striking on a bell with count wheel on the back plate. Signed on the back plate. In good condition. Dim. 235 x 43 x 27 cm.
