Meyronne à Lancy (Genève), circa 1720. Fine gilt brass leather covered Louis XIV "oignon", in original fitted Boulle type tortoiseshell veneered watch holder.

C. Double body "oignon", covered with a later green leather. Watch holder designed as a small Regence tortoiseshell cartel inlaid with brass decoration, gilt bronze acanthus leaves applied on the corners and musician Cupid at the top. D. Embossed white enamel with Roman numerals. Later steel single hand. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with Egyptian pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, short flat balance spring and rack and wheel regulator, fine gilt brass, Louis XIV cock with steel end-piece. Signed on the back plate. In good condition. Diam. 59 mm. Watch holder: 36 cm. high.
