Not signed, circa 1840. Fine and unusual bronze and ormolu, eight day going, hour and half hour striking automaton dock.

C. Designed as a triple fountain, with four gilt bronze dolphin feet, the base with a gilt palm-leaf border. Three glass rod fountains pouring from applied gilt bronze flourished dolphin and lion's head, the dial flanked with two cornucopias, bronze Cupid sitting at the top by a glass rod fountain pouring from an urn. D. Silvered engineturned, the gilt bronze chapter ring with Roman numerals, chased with a floral decoration. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Brass circular with going barrels both for the going and the striking train, anchor escapement, "sunburst" pendulum, silk suspension. Striking on a bell with cou nt wheel on the back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 58 x 25 x 19 cm.
