Notes

This important dock demonstrates most of the major inventions made by Achille Brocot: his escapement, his supension, his compensated pendulum and the fourth type of his perpetual calendar. It is also a fine demonstration of the long duration mechanism devised by Maurel on 24 November 1858 and described in the Revue Chronométrique, Vol.I1I, pages 171 and 172, plate XXI, fig. 2. The dock is coming with photocopies of the principal patents and of the Maurel description in the Revue Chronométrique.
