Robin à Paris, circa 1780. Very fine and rare gilt bronze 45 days going centre seconds regulator, with remontoir escapement.
C. Rectangular, gilt bronze, with acanthus foliage, egg-and -dart moulding surrounding the pediment and four glazed sides, the top observation window with plain brass frame the front face with foliage sprandels, pendant drapery covering the winding holes below the hinged bezel. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gilt brass engraved and pierced hands. M. Brass shaped with two going barrels, 75 seconds remontoir with fly regulator rewinding the driving weight. Graham dead beat escapement with half-seconds beating pendulum with knife edge suspension. Signed on the dial and back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 39 x 21 x 18 cm.
