Ch. Grottendiesk, Bruxelles, circa 1880. Very fine 18 ct. gold hall hunting cased, moon phase astronomical keyless watch with perpetual calendar.
C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished, the cover with black chamleve enamelled Roman numerals on the border of the dial aperture. Gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, moon phase aperture and subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the months with inner leap-year cycle, the dates with inner running seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 18"', nickel plated, "fausse côtes" decoration, 18 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Signed on the cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 55 mm.
