C. Double body, Louis XVI, by Louis Liardet ( Master Mark). The bezels chased with a floral decoration, the back panel on blue enamel with star and floral paillonné decoration (slightly restored), centred with a branch of roses. D. White enamel with radial Arabic numerals. Gold pierced fleurs de lys hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance with flat spring and regulator. Gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Repeating on the case by depressing the pendant. Signed on the dial and back plate. In good condition. Diam. 33 mm.

The case, the dial and the hands of this watch are very similar to that used by Jean Antoine Lepine as early as 1770.
