Not signed, No. 1817, Geneva, circa 1810 Fine and rare pearl-set gold and enamel form watch designed as a mandolin with visible balance, in original fitted red leather box.

Twopart, the ribbed back decorated with panels of guilloche and blue, white and black enamel with leaves and flowers, blue enamelled sound board with leaf decoration, pearl-set on the border and to the sound hole, azure and white enamelled key board and scarlet enamel head with pear-set pegs and wire strings, chain suspension. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals, winding aperture at 2 o'clock. Gold hands. M. Gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance with flat spring and regulator. Continental gilt brass cock. Numbered on the back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 59 x 26 mm.
