Rare and important collection of three minute repeating "grande sonnerie" clock-watches, by Louis Elisée Piguet, made for the Chinese market, the enamel painted by Louis Rosselet. Louis Elisée Piguet, No. 2746, retailed by Schwob Frères & Co., Chaux-de-Fonds, Swiss, case No. 47743, circa 1900. Very fine 18 ct. gold and enamel hunting cased, pearl set, keyless, t r i p l e c h i n e , "grande sonnerie", minute repeating clock-watch.

C.Four body, "bassine et filets" with split pearl set bezels, the band with red and white champleve enamelled decoration over a green ground, cover and back with enamel panels painted by Louis Rosselet, the cover with a very fine sea-side landscape, a peacock in flowers on the foreground, the back with another landscape embellished by a harbour and a lighthouse. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with technical details. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "pear" hands. M. Glazed, 19"', gilt brass, double train with differential winding, 32 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Striking and repeating on three gongs with three hammers, push piece in the band, strike/silent optional lever on the bezel's border. Signed and numbered by the maker beneath the dial on the back plate and by the retailer on the dial and cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 57 mm. Two almost identical 18 ct. gold and enamel, pearl set, centre seconds minute repeating, " grande sonnerie" clock-watches. C. Four body, "bassine et filets" with split pearl set bezels, the band with champleve decoration over a green translucent enamel ground, the back with enamel panels painted by Louis Rosselet, with very fine sea-side landscapes, matching that of the previous watch. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with technical details. D. White enamel with Roman numerals. Gold fancy hands. M. 19"', gilt brass, double train with going barrels wound separatly, 31 jewels partly in screwed settings, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Striking and repeating on two gongs with two hammers, push piece in the band, strike/silent optional lever beneath the bezels. Signed and numbered beneath the dial on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 55 mm. Lot of 3.
