Magellan Watch Co., Le Locle, "Magellan 1521". Made in the early 2000s. Fine and interesting, center-seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with a spherical dial depicting the Northern hemisphere, a 24-hour individually adjustable sundial hand for geographical reference to noon and a stainless steel Magellan deployant clasp.

Two-body, polished, hooded lugs, case back with 6 screws and engraved with an ancient map of the Northern hemisphere, encased winding-crown accessible from the case back, domed antireflective sapphire crystal. D. Spherical multi-colored dial depicting the Northern hemisphere according to an ancient map, outer mother-of-pearl minute/ seconds ring with 1/5th graduation in red and grade indication. Black "bâton" hands, individually adjustable 24-hour sundial hand for the geographical reference to noon, indicating the position of the sun over the earth at any given time. M. Cal. 2893, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 21 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shockabsorber, self-compensating flat balancespring, micrometer regulator. Case signed. Diam. 43 mm. Thickness: 20 mm.
