W. & E. Schmidt, Swiss, circa 1890. Fine 18 ct. pink gold, hunting cased, moon phase astronomical keyless minute repeating watch with triple calendar.
C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished, the cover engraved with the monogram "W.M.F.". Gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph rings, aperture for the months, sunk subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the dates and the subsidiary seconds with inner moon phase aperture. Gold "Louis XV" hands. M. 19"', nickel plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 31 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Chronograph with visible work and push piece in the band. Signed on the dial. In very good condition. Diam. 54 mm.
