Jacot Frères, Locle (Swiss), No. 157196, made in 1873. Very fine and rare 18 ct. gold hunting cased, keyless pocket chronometer in original mahogany fitted box, with the original Bulletin de Marche delivered on 24 May 1873 by the Observatoire Cantonal of the République & Canton of Neuchatel, and a repair invoice dated 23 May 1838.

C. Four body, massive "bassine et filets", with flat engine-turned cover and back, the cover with inside the engraved monogram "H.A.D" on an engineturned ground. Engine-turned hinged gold cuvette engraved with technical details. D. White enamel wit Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds (hair line). Paste set gold " arrow" hands. M. 20"', nickel plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 21 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued steel balance spring with terminal curve. Numbered on the case and mahogany box, name of the constructor on the Bulletin de Marche. In very good condition. Diam. 54 mm.
