Fernier (Besançon), No. 183460, made for Auguste Roussac, Horloger in Beziers, circa 1900. Fine silver and gold, keyless pocket chronometer with Bulletin de l'Observatoire National de Besançon No. 5736, awarded at the timing contest organised in 1901.

C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished, the back engraved with the monogram "T.C.". Hinged gold cuvette engraved with the awarded prize. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "spade" bands. M. 20"', gilt brass, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement "à moustaches", cut bimetallic balance, blued steel balance spring with terminal curve. Signed on the cuvette. In very good condition with photocopies of the timing certificate delivered to the maker: Fernier. Diam. 49 mm.
