Sandoz, Locle, No. 82344, made for the Chinese market, circa 1900. Fine 18 ct. gold and enamel, pearl-set keyless minute repeating watch with chronograph.

Four body, "bassine et filets" with split pearls set bezels, the band with champleve enamelled decoration, the back panel of green translucent enamel over engine-turning, painted with a maiden in a garden on a swinging seat. Gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph rings. Gilt brass paste-set hands. M. 19"', gilt brass, 23 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Chronograph with visible work, button on the winding crown. Signed on the dial and movement. In very good condition. Diam. 53 mm.
