Not signed, Geneva, circa 1890. Fine and rare, miniature gold, enamel and diamond set foret keyless pendant watch designed as a wasp.

Three part, underside realistically chased and engraved with legs and underbody, wing covers entirely set with old cut diamonds and sapphire border, the thorax realistically decorated with black champlevé enamel lines, emerald set eyes; sprung loaded wing opens from a button in the base to reveal the dial. D. Mat silver with Arabic numerals. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. Oval 4 1/2-, nickel plated,17 jewels, straight lire lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. In vert' good condition. Dims. 37 mm. overall. 14 mm. vide.
