Not signed, circa 1815. Rare and unusual 18 ct. gold, quarter repeating watch with three automatons.

C. Three body Empire with polished back, reeded band and bezels. Hinged gilt brass cuvette. D. White enamel chapter ring with Breguet numerals Blued steel Breguet hands. Glazed three colour gold chased automaton scene applied on a blued steel ground and driven by the repeating train, depicting a balcony supported by two columns. A Punchinello suddenly appears on the balcony in front of Chronos to strike the hours on bis scythe whilst two Jacks, strike the quarters at the lower stage. M. Gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Repeating on two gongs by depressing the pendant. In very good condition. Diam. 57 mm.
