C. Three body, "forme quatre baguettes", engineturned. Hinged gilt brass cuvette. D. Gold engineturned with Roman numerals on a polished chapter. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant. Signed on the cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 41 mm.

Notes

Louis Perron able maker, born in Besançon in 1778, he died in 1835. Clock maker to the town, he used to work for Mégevan and Breguet, he devised a pinpallet escapement in 1798, wrote a book in 1834 and awarded medals at the Exhibitions in 1823 and 1834.
