Double body, Louis XVI, the chased bezels with red champlevé enamelled dots, the back centred with a fine painted enamel sea-side landscape, a fisher on the foreground, a vessel on the back, blue enamel frame decorated with a garland of pink flowers and ribbons. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gold Louis XV hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 41 mm.

This watch was retailed in Paris by a branch of the Berthoud family, distant relative of Ferdinand and Louis Berthoud and also native from Couvet in the Val de Travers (Switzerland).
