James McCabe, Royal Exchange, London, with London hallmarks for 1864. Fine and rare 22 ct. gold and enamel, hunting cased, quarter striking, Royal presentation clockwatch with special escapement.

Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", the back with the enamel portraits of King Edward VII and the Queen, with outer engraving of the Royal Crown and floral decoration on the cover with their coat-of-arms in champlevé enamel. Hinged gold cuvette. D. Silver engine-turned with Roman numerals, the gilt centre with engraved flowers, gold cast decoration on the bezel border. Blued steel "fleurs de lys" hands. M.18"' , frosted and gilt three-quarter plate, double train, 15 jewels in screwed settings for the gonng train, duplex escapement, cut bimetallic balance, balance spring with terminal curve. Quarter striking on gongs. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 50 mm.
