Dent, Watchmaker to the Queen, 33 Cockspur Street, London, No. 30197 with London hallmarks for 1885. Very fine 18 ct. gold hunting cased, moon phase astronomical keyless minute repeating watch with perpetual calendar, split-seconds chronograph and 60 minutes progressive recorder.
C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished, marked "E.N." (Emil Nielson). Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel by Willis with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph ring, sunk subsidiary dials for running seconds with inner days of the week, the months of the leapyear cycle, the dates with outer 60 minute register and moon phase aperture. Blued-steel "pear " hands. M. 21"', frosted and gilt, 17 jewels in screwed settings for the going train, pointed tooth lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued-steel balance spring with terminal curve and swan neck micrometric index. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Chronograph with partly visible work, button on the band. Signed on the dial and movement. In very good condition. Diam. 58 mm.
