James Ferguson Cole & Sons, London, No. 5162, made for John Sutherland, 38, Cranmer Road Forest Gate, London, with London hallmarks for 1904. Extremely fine 18 ct. gold, keyless pocket chronometer with one minute tourbillon regulator, awarded a Class A certificate by the National Physical Laboratory, Teddington, Middlesex, with the distinction "Especially Good" in 1914, having attained a total of 86.9 and additional marks for superior merit.

C. Double body, massive, "pomme et filets", polished, marked "F.T." (Frederick Thomas). D. White enamel by Willis, with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "pear" bands. M. Glazed 20"', frosted and gilt, two third plate, 20 jewels, pointed tooth lateral lever escapement with gold wheel, brass-invar Guillaume balance, balance spring with terminal curve. One minute tourbillon regulator with polished steel three equidistant arm carriage drawn from that of Nicole Nielsen second type. Signed on the back plate. In excellent condition. Diam. 55 mm.
