Thomas Cole for Hunt & Roskell, 156 New Bond St. (London), un-numbered, mid 19th Century. Good, small, gilt-brass, eight day going carriage clock, striking hours and halves on a gong platform lever escapement.

C. Typically Cole, engraved all over with male and female figures, an old man garlanding a hind, birds, flowers and foliage, set-off by much cross-hatching. D. Silvered-brass, engraved or hatched ahnost all over, Roman chapters, blued steel "fleur de lys" hands, unused cartouche. M. Brass rectangular, goingbarrels, platform lever escapement, single roller, pointed-tooth wheel, plain steel balance flat balance spring, ruby endstone to balance cock. In good condition. With accompanying French carriage dock travelling box. Signed " Hunt & Roskell" on movement. In verx good condition. Dim. 14 x 11 x 9 cm.
