Notes

Note: The escapement of this watch is similar to that patented in 1857 by G. Morton (Eng. patent No. 2432), and to the Patent Union escapement patented by G.C. Kelvey and M. Holland in 1863 ( Patent No. 2184). All such movements appear to derive from the workshop of Henry Fletcher at Prescot, Lancashire. LONDON PATENT Anonymous.
