T.F. Cooper, 6 Calthorp, St. Gray's Inn Road, London, No. 7521, with London hallmarks for 1864. Fine and unusual 18 ct. gold, extra large, pair cased " cabriolet" pocket chronometer, certainly made as an exhibition piece.

C. Outer, three body massive, "bassine", engraved all over in Arabesque pattern, the back with a town view with horse-drawn dray in foreground. Inner, three body massive "bassine", marked "J.B." (John Bacon or John Barnett), the band chased with interlaced decoration, the back with Summer Flowers, arabesque on the border. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. Floral and foliate chased hinged gold cuvette. M. 20 "', frosted and gilt three-quarter plate, 18 jewels in screwed settings, fusee with chair and maintaining power, Earnshaw type spring detent escapement, cut bimetallic balance with gold screws, free sprung blued steel helical balance spring with terminal curved, gilt brass cock engraved in vermicelli pattern, diamond endstone. Signed on the dial and back plate. hl excellent condition. Diam. 76 mm.
