Henry Lewis, 172 New Bond Street, London, No. 10017, with London hallmarks for 1885. Fine 18 ct. gold hunting cased, keyless minute repeating watch with triple calendar, with the enamelled coat-of-arms of the Peel family of Staffordshire.
C. Double body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished, marked "E.N." (Emil Nielsen), the cover with the champlevé enamel coat-of-arms. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, sunk subsidiary dials for days of the week, months, dates and running seconds (very small hair line). Blued steel " pear" hands. M. 17"', frosted and gilt threequarter plate with going barrel, 19 jewels in screwed settings for the going train, pointed-tooth lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance with gold screws, blued steel balance spring with terminal curve and swan neck micrometric index. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Signed on the dial and the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 52 mm.
